I Was Right!

I just had to post this given Nikko's most recent mention of his date. I was right! Love is in the air, so all you doubters out there can kiss my butt.

Besides, it was good that I was right. If Nikko and Cassie had never gone out on a date, we would have never been able to meet Savannah, the newest member of our group. She seems nice enough. She has red hair like Summer, and when she is around something sparked with magic, these bright red tattoos show up all over her body. It's almost like she has some connection to fire magic, though I'm not sure what that is all about.

Still, it's kind of nice having someone closer to my age to pal around with. It's not that I dislike my sisters, but they are a bit older than me, and sometimes that leaves me feeling like the odd girl out.

I worry about Savannah's safety, though, because she doesn't have any magical powers of her own. That means someone is going to have to make sure she stays protected. I'll do my best to see that nothing bad happens to her, but I'm pretty sure that is going to have to be a group effort, especially since the girl's parents don't know anything about the existence of magic. Learning about that will be quite an eye-opening experience for them, I'm sure.

More Ups Than Downs?

It seems things have taken a few turns for the better here lately. First, let me get things started by saying that apparently Reece and Jolie were right about Cassie. She and I went out on a date, and that turned out to be a very unique dating experience. We encountered a seer, a young girl named Savannah, while we were trying to have a nice quiet dinner. The girl could sense magic, though she was not sparked with it. She instinctively knew that I was the Wizard of Fire, though she and I had never met.

It was a rather odd date, and it took a turn for the worse when we were interrupted by Dr. Bones and a bunch of Malo's goons. Mastema nearly killed me, and both Cassie and Savannah were scared for their lives. In the end, it all turned out about as well as could be expected, and now we've got this new girl protected inside the magical dead zone.

Though I'm not sure yet of the potential of this young seer, she may have some role to play in helping us stop Malo. She adds a completely new set of skills that we do not currently possess. She has the power to sense all types of magic, perhaps even more powerfully than a wizard.

So, between our encounter with her and our success in locating Darius, the next Wizard of Lightning, it seems we have finally had an opportunity to experience a few more ups than downs recently. We'll see how it all plays out, but right now, things may be starting to move in the right direction.

This Has Some Potential

Well, quite a few surprises have surfaced recently. Nikko and his wizards have finally located the new Wizard of Lightning, Stanley White has been corrupted by dead magic, and we have managed to locate a seer (though I think it is more accurate to state that the seer managed to locate us). All of this has the potential to influence - for better or worse - our quest to stop Malo.

I am not certain whether the new Wizard of Lightning will be trained enough to have an influence in the battle over the final fragment of The Box of Death, but if somehow that were possible, he could definitely add some powerful magic to any sort of battle. After all, right now, we have husk walkers, golems, and other powerful creatures fighting on Malo's side.

And one of those creatures happens to be Mastema - the Angel of Hostility - formerly Stanley White from the Sentinels. He has been corrupted by dead magic and transformed into something quite hideous, but also quite powerful. And Nikko made the mistake of developing some sort of magical connection with the man buried inside the monster, though that has not worked out in our favor so far. Summer thinks she can heal Mastema, and given what she was able to do for me, I have no reason to doubt her. But as she admits, we first have to find a way to restrain him, and so far that has proven quite difficult. Hopefully, he does not prove to be our undoing.

But perhaps what intrigues me the most is the recent entrance of the seer. This young girl seems to have the ability to sense all sorts of magic, and that power may prove to be our greatest asset. We shall ultimately have to see exactly what role she is to play in events to come, but I firmly believe she will play some role, as long as we can manage to keep her alive.

You will want to see how things play out with Darius, Mastema, and the seer, so download The Box of Death, Book 2 of the Three Wizards Chronicles.
